Terms of use

This page is being finalised and will be reviewed by a qualified UK professional before launch.

These are the plain terms for using the Little Steps website and membership. They explain what you can expect from us and what we ask from you. A qualified UK professional reviews the final wording before launch, but everything below already reflects how we work.

Who we are and what this covers

Little Steps is a small team that helps families of children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) in England. These terms cover the website, the templates, the smart guide and the parent community. By using any of these, you agree to use them in the kind, honest way described here.

Your membership

Membership is £14.99 a month. It gives you the templates, the smart SEND guide, the resource library and the private community. You can cancel at any time from your account, and your access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for. We will always tell you in advance if a price changes.

Our templates and guidance are support, not legal advice

Our templates and articles help you write letters and prepare for meetings about your child's support. They are written from real experience, but they are general guidance, not legal advice and not a decision from your local council, school or the NHS. For decisions about your own child, always rely on the professionals working with your family.

Using the site fairly

Please use Little Steps for your own family. You can download templates and adapt them for your child as much as you like. Please do not resell them, share your login with strangers, copy our content to sell elsewhere, or try to break or misuse the site. We may pause an account that is used to harm others.

Things we cannot promise

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise a particular outcome for your child, and there may be times when the site is down for maintenance. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on general guidance instead of professional advice. Nothing here removes the rights you have as a consumer in the UK.

Questions and changes

If anything here is unclear, please contact us and we will explain it in plain words. We may update these terms as Little Steps grows, and we will note the date of the latest change. If a change is important, we will let members know by email.
